Puck Bunnies Need Not Apply

Bishop is part of Seattle’s NHL expansion team and he’s anxious to make a good showing. But fate had other plans for him by getting him sidelined with a serious groin injury in a bleeping exhibition game. And that’s the good news. The bad news is he’ll be out for a minimum six weeks. In a new position, with a brand-new team, that’s about as close as you can get to having one foot out the door and the other on a banana peel. So Bishop is determined to get back on the ice before that six weeks is up.

And he has the good fortune to have a lovely new neighbor, Stevie, who just happens to be a licensed physiotherapist looking to break into the NHL. But she wants to do it without the outside help or influence of her hockey star big brother. Together they lay out a plan to get him on the road to recovery sooner. But no one counted on the many pitfalls between their plans and reality. Did I forget to mention the open animosity between Stevie’s brother and Bishop?

Helena Hunting delivers everything needed in this tightly packed romantic comedy. Delicious, sexy bantering dialogue, characters so flawed you can’t help but fall in love with them, and a plot that will keep you reading from page one to The End.

Trading Favors?

With only a few of her books, she has become one of my favorite “go to” authors. Her writing is so crisp and spare, with never an unnecessary word or phrase. When you read Hunting, you never have to worry about fluffy writing. Every word is there for a reason. I don’t know how to say it better than that. Five gold stars.
